In cooperation with UNDP and with funding from the Arab Fund, SAFE is participating in a project to rehabilitate 200 homes in the Gaza Strip.

As part of a humanitarian and development partnership aimed at supporting affected families, SAFE announced its collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on a project to rehabilitate 200 damaged homes in the Gaza Strip. This joint intervention is funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), with SAFE and UNDP working together to ensure a rapid response and efficient field implementation that serves Palestinian families.

The collaborative work between SAFE and UNDP is based on a strategy of using local materials in the restoration and rehabilitation processes. This approach aims to overcome reconstruction challenges and utilize available resources to ensure the continuity of the work and provide practical and sustainable housing solutions. Through this partnership, the project seeks to provide safe and dignified housing for the targeted families, ensuring their effective protection against harsh weather conditions and the winter cold.

Field teams from SAFE and UNDP are working together to ensure that the rehabilitated homes meet standards of safety and human dignity. It is worth noting that this collaboration between SAFE and UNDP represents a model of integrated work between local institutions and international organizations, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of citizens and improving living conditions in affected areas.
