Distributing food parcels (vegetables and fruits) to 300 families in Gaza

As part of its ongoing efforts within the multi-sectoral emergency response program, SAFE in partnership with the Holy Family Church and with support from the World Central Kitchen Foundation, implemented a project to distribute food parcels containing fresh fruits and vegetables to 300 impoverished and needy families in Gaza City. This project aimed to meet the basic nutritional needs of families by providing parcels containing 10 types of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The contents of the parcels were carefully selected to ensure they provided healthy and balanced nutritional components that contribute to a family's daily sustenance. This intervention comes at a time when access to fresh produce is becoming increasingly difficult due to the deteriorating economic conditions and restrictions imposed on the Gaza Strip.

Local partnerships facilitated the effective implementation of the project and ensured that aid reached the most vulnerable groups in a manner that respects local culture and the specific needs of the beneficiaries. This project reflects the Society and its partners' commitment to providing food security and supporting community resilience through well-considered humanitarian responses that focus on dignity and sustainability.
