In cooperation with UNDP and funded by the Arab Fund, SAFE participates in a project to rehabilitate 200 homes in the Gaza Strip

Within the framework of a humanitarian and developmental partnership aimed at supporting affected families, the Gaza Society for Sustainable Agriculture and Friendly Environment (SAFE) announced its participation, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in implementing a qualitative project to rehabilitate 200 damaged homes in the Gaza Strip.

This joint intervention is funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), with the association's efforts combined with those of UNDP to ensure rapid response and efficient field implementation to serve Palestinian families.

The joint work between SAFE Association and the United Nations Development Programme is based on a strategy of relying on local materials in restoration and rehabilitation operations. This approach aims to overcome reconstruction challenges and utilize available resources to ensure the continuity of work and provide practical and sustainable housing solutions.

Through this partnership, the project seeks to provide safe and dignified housing for the targeted families, and to ensure effective protection for them against harsh weather conditions and winter cold. Field teams from the association and the development program work side by side to ensure that the rehabilitated homes meet safety standards and human dignity.

It is worth noting that this cooperation between SAFE Association and UNDP represents a model for integrated work between local institutions and international organizations, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of citizens and improving living conditions in affected areas.
